Professor of Philosophy, Biola University, Talbot School of Theology
Philosophy, PhD, University of Texas, Austin
I am a philosophy professor at Biola University and Scholar in Residence at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Newport Beach, CA. When I’m not teaching, I write and speak about metaphysics, epistemology, and the Christian worldview for academics and non-academics alike. The goal is to build up Christ’s Church by encouraging and facilitating Christians’ love of God through the life of the mind. These days, my work is focused primarily on the role of emotions in knowledge and understanding, especially our understanding of God, and how literature, especially fantasy, can reveal the Kingdom of God.
